I am not sure why Duckie so not supporting to healthy food. I find that the food served here is acceptable and in fact very tasty. I am not sure if we all print out our discount vouchers and go back there can we get 10% + 10% + 10%....? :)

Well, different people have different taste bud and preference Steven and not everyone are as adventurous in food as we are. Young Heart Restaurant is still a restaurant to cater to everyone's dream to have hot steaming home cooked food served on their dining table. Healthy food is just another part of their wonderful services to cater to those people who needed that special attention in their diet. After all, they do have the necessary herbs and ingredients to boost up the body immune system as well as for general health.

As for the discount, I'm sure the restaurant would be happy to have your continuous support to visit them so often. Each visit would entitle you to have a 10% discount per table until the offer expires. :)

duckie: healthy food doesn't mean taste bad, they can cater for both eaters! their healthy food is in the sense of homely, less salt, sugar and oil.

You are right Gill. Most people would have the wrong perception that healthy food has to be bland in taste. It does not necessary be that way. Other than the minimal usage of salt, sugar, oil or any unnecessary products that contain harmful chemically induced substances, it could be just a balance diet to keep the body strong and healthy. The vegetables could be organic or chemical free. The oil used in the frying may have no or low calories but then the taste would still be the same. Even the method of cooking with lesser oil usage would help to lower the risk having cardiovascular attack. Once in a while, it's also great to rejuvenate the body with natural food that has been used for generations for general health. :)

Your photo turned out good leh! I agree with you, eat healthily can be assured here.

Thanks Carrie. I was a bit worried about the lighting then. I knew you would say that too or else you won't be having so many visits until next week. Haha! Anyway, don't forget to send some of those special flavored fried chicken wings to me. Hehe!

looks a tad bit too healthy for me ... i'm an unhealthy food eater!!!

Haha! Definitely you won't get Char Koay Teow with lots of chillies and crunchy deep fried lard here but I can assure you that there are other choices that would suit your taste bud. The handmade noodles are awesome and the fried chicken wings (2 versions) tasted even better than our Taiko "K". With all the "unhealthy" feasting, it's also good to drop by one of your free days to have a bit of "cleansing". :P I can assure you won't regret my suggestion. :)

such high ratings from you.
this is the second time you guys went for the review, right?
the water chestnut cake seems familiar, Foh San Dim Sum also serving that.

Well yes J but this time it's with a revamped menu. I love the healthy homecooked food there and the beverage has a lower sugar level with the usage of rock sugar syrup.
